The UK Westminster ‘Upper-House-of Parliament’

“Will not be tolerated”
by Baroness Deech • 06/03/2017 • 9 Comments.
This has become the most defensive,
and most meaningless phrase
in the English language recently.
Corbyn’s response to vicious antisemitism
in the Labour party –
“racism will not be tolerated in any form”.
Lord Chancellor Truss on prison violence –
will not be tolerated.
Likewise Councils on
domestic abuse –
dishonesty in divorce cases –
exam cheating –
plagiarism by students –
post referendum racist abuse –
long waits in A&E –
drug dealing –
resale of Adele concert tickets –
dog fouling on public footpaths –
the list is endless.
What these protestations
have in common is
unlikely to be followed by action.
The Guardian reported today that
sexual harassment in universities
had reached “epidemic levels”.
But measures were put in place
to tackle this decades ago.
Staff were warned that
their careers would be ended
or blighted in case of offence.
Universities may be among the worst offenders
in this rash of protestations of innocence –
we are still waiting for Oxford University
to announce action taken
against the perpetrators of
nasty antisemitic incidents
connected with the student Labour Club
more than a year ago,
or at least an investigation.
Perhaps the modern
practice of public relations
is at fault:
“Make an announcement,
hit the headlines,
and then sit back”.

“Perhaps the modern practice of public relations
is at fault”-
and our Information availabilities
are woefully insufficient,
and [being] “hijacked”
Even Wikipedia is woefully short of Facts, Factors, Factualities, Truths and Perspective-Relevances,
Cambridge Dictionary too gives us an Oxymoron in leaving out definition 1. of “perception” altogether
i.e. its principal meaning of
(and prior to its ‘interpretation’ etc)
defining “perception” as
an ‘imagined’ or ‘subjectively-slanted view’
of anything or of any state of affairs
(which [particular] letter in other respectable dictionaries)
[becomes] definition 2.
when you have
seen, heard, smelled, tasted, or touched
you have perceived it . (full stop).
Psychologically the ‘interpretation’ of the percept follows that initial perception.
Where in the UK is it even recognised, that one of our democratic-citizen duties is to scrutinise everything,
and to “nail” all such “fogs”
“that will not be tolerated”

Home education Skype broadcast meeting
by Lord Soley • 19/04/2018 • 17 Comments
In January I held a meeting for people who were concerned about my home education bill. This was an opportunity for them to ask questions about the bill
Some people were unable to attend the meeting due to a range of reasons including child care or long travel and they contacted me stating their disappointment. Therefore, I will be hosting another session over a Skype for Business broadcast session online. This will be the first of its kind where members of the public can ‘attend’ a meeting at Westminster in this way.
This is the first time an event of this type is happening at Westminster and it is still in its experimental phase however the technical team at Westminster are working hard to ensure that it runs smoothly on the day.
It will be an online broadcast session only, so you will be unable to attend in person and it will take place on Tuesday 24th April between 5pm and 7pm.
The committee stage of the Bill is scheduled to take place at the House of Lords on Friday 27th April 2018.
The Bill is designed to create a register of home educated children and will have in it a clause that requires local education authorities to give information and advice when a home educating parent requests it. This is designed to help those who find it difficult to access all the information they require. It has the added advantage of putting into law an assumed right to home educate. This is an important right and one which I have always supported.
Registration makes it easier to check that children are not only getting the range of educational experience they need but also that we have increased protection for that small but very important minority of children who are taken out of school to be radicalised, trafficked or abused. The rights of the child are important to me and to society.
If you would like to tune in to this session, you can register your interest in two ways:
- Send a letter stating your interest to join the session with your home address and contact details including your email address to Lord Clive Soley, Westminster, London SW1A 0AA.
- Send an email stating your interest to join the session with your home address and contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have a question to ask it would be helpful if you could send it in advance when you register your interest however it is okay if you wish to ask it on the day although the two hour slot will obviously restrict numbers to some extent.
Please note that priority will be given to those who did not attend the meeting earlier this year and that registering interest is not a guarantee that you will be sent an invitation to the meeting. Time will limit numbers. If you are sent an invitation to tune in, you will be sent instructions to your inbox on how to join the session closer to the time. You cannot join the session if you do not have an email account.
In preparation for the session please take some time to have a look at the following points of information:

Schools, universities and NVQ-colleges Training for Careers & Job Workplaces [40 hours/week] Skills
needs to be in-detail-distinguished from
Lifeplace Enablement Education for living [128 hours/week].Secondly, that Lifeplace enabling needs to provide to the entire generic Public access to, and opportunities to learn, practice, and implement, the many advances in Knowledge and Practical-Know-How that the main schools, colleges, and universities Training is excluding –including such lists as are visitable in not-for-profit, power nor prestige e-sites

Dear sir plesa look at how many children leve school with no GCSE or other qualifications schools do not have the time or resources to help all children. Registrars dont halp as children on ss register end up dead ones on school register no one checking on tham that poor boy diying because hes mum diyed he was on a school register this will not halp
The pont is that home educated children are lerning better at home than at school because the schools do not have the 1 2 1 thay need and LA s do not understand the difference wich children learn
If mecking me register my children meens i can no longer educat in a way witch is beneficial to tham because the LAs well require NC progres and send them backto a school that felled tham in lots of ways, I will
hold the government responsible and liable for there falling education.

Underlying and Overarching this.
School-&-University Training for 40 hrs/week Careers and Jobs
in the toweringly “pay-grade-greedy” and
“deluded social-mobility” paper-money-ballooning-pyramid-
‘Home’ Education for 128 hrs/week “life-on-the-ground & in-amongst the grass-roots themselves!” Lifeplace-Enabling-Abilities –lies the disgracefully-malfeasant exclusion,
Longest-Term Individual and Aggregate
Human Development, Education, and Training, Curricula
of great advances
in Human-Developmental Knowledge and Know-HowSee
as well as
[down-here-amongst both the grass-roots and the “gutters”]
really do need to be
very pro-actively and ‘no-lose’ cooperatively
as a new ‘Movement’ –
that clearcutly distinguishes and separately-practices,
the many differences between-&-betwixt
Training for Jobs in Workplaces
and (very often ‘versus’)
Education for Living-Life in Lifeplaces.
