“Creative-Alternation”

Up-dated 0535 St021119

… Better believe it ! –

Much “gymnastic-repetition” is far from being “creative” !!

FOR INSTANCE ?
Take “RSI – Repetitive Strain Injury”.

It is a ‘splitting’
of the protective and supportive ‘sheath’
around a tendon
[which ‘takes the strain’ when muscles are in action] –
and it is both painful and progressively-impairing –
and takes longer than broken-bone to heal itself.

Let’s have an intermediate-look online
for
“Sudden Strain Injury” for a moment –
because “Repetitive Strain Injury” starts from an “SSI”.

The NHS has only “RSI” –
but does allow “contact feedback”,
so this message has gone to them :-

Since RSI is started “suddenly”,
we
[People, as well as Professionals]
need
both “mindfully” and “movement-effort-physiologically”
to “prevent” SSI
rather than “treat” the ensuing RSI.
[See “Effort” by Laban & Lawrence;
and
“The Busy Person’s Guide to Easier Movement”
by Frank Wildman (after Moshe feldenkrais’s ground-work) ].

With best regards,
{and please see http://lifefresh.net for “more”};
John Miles.

NEXT UP BIGGER PICTURE

The slightest deep-seated weakness
can not sustain itself from becoming
increasingly-impaired
and then increasingly disabled
when subjected to
domineeringly-over-arching
“greater-foci”
such as Strengthening
and
Speeding-up
other body-parts.

FROM INDIVIDUAL ‘HISTORY’

Pastor Wurmbrand had been tortured
by the Soviet KGB and STASI in East Germany;
and having been “rescued”
was asked to tour Britain to
‘share the experience’.

The main point I remember him making is that
[“] Torture is like Crucifixion;
it puts you into agony
but as soon as you try to move a little
to find a less-agonising position
that only immediately sharpens the pain [“].

————
The reason that is quoted here is
because …

when you enter into a
re-learning & new-learning
self-healing
Therapy course,

you are in fact entering into attempting to
“correct”
at least one usually ‘very-deep-seated’
“wrong habit that feels right”
and
“bad habit that still can feel ‘good'”;

and it is this “troublesome-task”
that can, and in varying ‘degrees’ does,
feel very much like
“crucifixion*”
————
* But “take heart”,

by varying the spelling of a term
one may very well ‘alter’
its
“sense-in-real-life-action-on-the-ground” –

The “therapeutic-exercises”
that you need to begin “anew”
are maybe better “thought-of” as
“self-improvement-explorations”

and the “suffering” parts of it be termed
“self-cruci-fiction
[rather than “cruci-fix-ion”].
=============
Mark-you ‘though,
that the common “Fitnessing advice” that
“There’s no gain without pain”
is as “dangerous-a-deceiving-dangler” as

“Rain follows the plough”
{Ploughing and ploughing
‘until kingdom-come’
will never make it Rain.

So also, finding yourself in Pain
is no indicator that you are making any ‘gain'”}

THAT’S IT, FOLKS !

Alternate “A little and often”
and
glide-gleaningly
through the topics in non-fiction books

Critical Thinking and Persuasive Writing for Postgraduates
by Louise Katz
can be opne such to be “butterflied through”.

Most non-fiction works only need to be “learned from cover to cover”
if it is for a “mandatory-duty”
such as for a PhD or some “community-lifesupportive work”.

For one’s own life, in the Lifeplace, sober ‘picking-and-choosing’ is probably best;
and better-includes “alternating-movements.
