BEWARE !

  1.   Of messages ending in a duplicitable or ‘ambiguous’ term, word, or suffix :-   The ‘Hymns Ancient & Modern’ one has :-
    “Thou whose almighty word,
    Chaos and darkness heard,
    Speed forth thy flight;
    Move on the water’s’ face,
    Bearing the lamp of grace;
    And in Earth’s darkest place,
    Let there be light”.

    ‘But’ –
    “light” may refer to “light-weightedness” “light-ness”,
    even to “light-ale”
